Bangladesh vs India 1st Test Match, Day 2


At stumps of Day 1 India were 213/8 with S Tendulkar 76* and I Sharma 1* in 63 overs.

Day 2 Play's Summary:
With 24 runs short off his 44th ton Sachin Tendulkar started the second day's play with I Sharma. But initially match was delayed due to bad weather conditions. India were able to add only 30 runs to their board and lost their both the tail ends. Their 9th wicket was I Sharma with 1 run at 67.3 overs and India went 230/9.

Then the little master Sachin Tendulkar Scored his 44th ton of his career in 160 balls which includes 10-4's & 2-6'. Then India lost their last wicket S Sreesanth with just 1 run at 70.5 overs and India went 243 and Sachin Tendulkar remained not out with 105 runs. For Bangladesh Shahadat Hossain and Shakib Al Hassan each made their 5 wicket haul.

With trailing by 243 runs Bangladesh started their innings with Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes. At lunch break Bangladeh were 21/0 in 4 overs with Tamim Iqbal 21* and Imrul Kayes 0*. After lunch the bad light stopped the play again. Then the match started after some delay and 50 runs came for Bangladeh by the opening pair Tamim Iqbal nd Imrul Kayes in 13.6 overs.

Then Bangladesh added just 9 runs to their board and lost their 3 wickets. The 1t wicket was Imrul Kayes with 23 runs at 14.4 overs and Bangladesh went 53/1. Then they lost their 2nd wicket in the very next over, Shahriar Nafees went out with 4 runs at 15.2 overs and Bangladesh went 58/2. Their 3rd wicket was Tamim Iqbal with 31 runs at 16.2 overs and Bangladesh went 58/3. When Bangladeh were 59/3 in 17 over Bad light stopped the play.

At the stumps of Day 2 Bangladesh were 59/2 in 17 overs with Mohammad Ashraful 0* and Raqibul Hasan 1* and still 185 runs behind.
