Bangladesh vs India 1st Test Match, Day 1


Indian cricket team is scheduled to play 2 test matches with
Bangladesh. The 1st test match between Bangladesh and
India started today Jan 17th and will be played till Jan 21st at
Chittagong.
Bangladesh won the toss and invited the visitors India to bat first.

India's Squad:
G Gambhir, V Sehwag, R Dravid, S Tendulkar, VVS Laxman,
Yuvraj Singh, D Karthik, A Mishra, Z Khan, I Sharma and Sreesanth.

Bangladesh Squad:
Shahriar  Nafees, Imrul  Kayes, Tamim  Iqbal, Mohammad  
Ashraful, Shakib Al  Hasan, Raqibul  Hasan, Mahmudullah, 
Mushfiqur  Rahim, Shafiul  Islam, Shahadat  Hossain and 
Rubel  Hossain.


Match Summary:
The match was delayed due to bad weather conditions. 
Then G Gambhir and V Sehwag headed to start the India's 
1st innings. The opening pair played well and added 79 runs 
in their partnership. 50 run came for India in 9.1 overs. At 
the lunch break India were 63/0 in 13 overs with Gambhir 
22* and Sehwag 38*. Then 50 came for Sehwag in just 
45 balls and at 14.6 overs 

India lost their 1st wicket Sehwag with 52 runs and 79/1. 
In the very next over India lost their 2nd wicket Gambhir 
with 23 runs at 15.2 overs and went 79/2. Then again 
lost a wicket, 3rd wicket was  R Dravid with 4 runs at 17.4 
overs and went 85/3. 100 runs came for India in 25.1 overs. 
At drink break  India were 107/3 in 28 overs with 
S Tendulkar 14* and VVS Laxman 7*. In the very 1st over 
after lunch break India lost their 4th wicket VVS Laxman 
with 7 runs at 28.3 overs and went 107/4. Before reaching 
the mark of 150 runs India lost their 5th wicket Yuvraj 
Singh with 12 runs at 38.5 overs and went 149/5. Then 
150 came for India in 39.1 overs and after 1 ball in 39.3 overs 
India lost D Karthik who went out without scoring any run 
and India went 150/6. 

Sachin got his half century off 86 balls. At tea break India 
were 160/6 in 45 overs with Sachin 50* and A Mishra 5*. 
Then India lost its 7th wicket A Mishra with 14 runs at 
51.6 overs and went 182/7.  Then 200 runs came for India 
in 54.5 overs. Then India lost its 8th wicket Z Khan with 
11 runs at 58.3 overs and went 209/8.At the 63 overs when 
India were 213/8 bad light stopped the play. For Bangladesh  
Shahadat  Hossain and ShakibAl Hasan each took 4 wicket. 
 At the stumps of Day 1 India were 213/8 in 63 overs with 
S Tendulkar 76* and I Sharma 1*.
