Lewis Hamilton wins the Singapore Grand Prix, which was 11th title of his career. Jenson Button adds 4 pts to his championship points and leads the driver table with 84 pts followed by his team mate Rubens Barrichello with 69 pts.

F1 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX FRIDAY PRACTICE SESSION

Singapore Grand Prix will be held on Sunday 27th Sep, in head of that 2 practice session held today. In the practice Sebastian Vettel pulls down the title defender Fernando Alonso by 0.274 sec. Its qualifying session will start by saturday 22:00 Hrs.

ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 24th SEP

Match 3 - South Africa vs New Zealand South Africa won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. With Wayne Parnell's maiden five wicket haul home side South Africa was able to control NZ for 214 runs in 47.5 overs with Ross Taylor scoring 72 for NZ.

With the target of 215 South Africa started to bat, after losing their captains wicket very early, they manged to attain the target in 41.4 overs with the help of AB de Villers contributing 70 runs from 76 balls.


For his five wicket haul Wayne Parnell was named player of the match.

F1 2010 RACE CALENDAR

The World Motor Sport Council had released the F1 race calendar for the 2010 season world championship. The FIA had included Korean Grand Prix and Canada Grand Prix in the 2010 calendar.
The inclusion of the Canada Grand Prix is subjected to race contract. The 2010 season starts from 14th march in Bahrain and gets completed in Brazil on 14th Nov,

RENAULT F1 - SUSPENDED BAN FOR 2 YEARS



Renault F1 team was suspended for 2 years over the singapore conspiracy. Since Flavio Briatore Managing Director of Renault F1 team, Pat Symonds Executive Director of Engineering and Nelson Piquet team driver were found guilty by World Motor Sport Council(WMSC) over the last years Singapore GP conspiracy which caused a deliberate crash and benifited the race strategy of Fernando Alonso to win the Singapore GP last year.


The WMSC also announced that Renault F1 team should pay the cost of investigation, should give a significant contribution to FIA's safety work, Briatore should not involve in the FIA-sanctioned motorsport for life time, whereas five year ban for Symonds and Piquet was granted immunity from sanction for volunteering his evidence in the investigation.

OZ BACK TO NO:3 SPOT

After their defeat in the 7th ODI, OZ's are back to No 3 spot. Through this victory England avoided their series whitewash. England won the match by four wickets, by chasing a traget of 177. Grame Smith was named man of the match for his 5 wicket haul and Cameron White was named as man of the series. Aussies won the 7 ODI series as 6-1.

ICC World Rankings


After defeating the home side England in the six ODI match by 111 runs, OZ regained their No.1 spot in ICC rankings, Oz lead the 7 ODI series a 6-0. If England strike back Australia in their final match , Australia will again move to 3rd spot. So Australia need to win their final match to stay in top and enter ICC Champions Trophy as world champions.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE




The group stage matches of UEFA Champions league kicks off today. The group stage matches will be held between 32 teams divided into eight groups with four teams each. The winners and runner-up of the groups enters the final round which will be in knockout format. The defeanding champions are Barcelona.
The prize money of Euro 5.4million is awarded to each team that takes part in group stage matches and a group stage is worth Euro 600,000 and draw Euro 300,000. Euro 2.5millions for the quater finalist, Euro 3million for semi finalist, Euro 4million for the runner-up and Euro 7million for winners. A large part of the distribution revenue is given to teams that holds a high value of television market in each country.

US OPEN - MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP

The mixed doubles championship match of the US Open held in the Arthur Ashe stadium between Carly Gullickson & Travis Parrott of USA and Cara black (ZIM) & Leander Paes (IND). In the match of 1Hr 6Min, the USA pair won the championship title by defeating the title defeanders Cara Black & Leander Paes as 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets.

GIANCARLO FISICHELLA- " I AM OVER THE MOON"

Giancarlo Fisichella signed with ferrari for the final five races of this F1 season. The 36 year old Italian driver has been released from the Force India's contract. He will remain as the reserve driver for the season 2010 for Ferrari. Since the accident of Massa, Ferrari were inneed of a experienced driver and they signed Fisichelle after his great finish in Belgian Grand Prix. While asking about this to Fisichella he said "Its true that it has always been an ambitious to driver for the ferrari and now I AM OVER THE MOON" and i thank Vijay Mallya who allowed me to do this.
