Australia vs West Indies 3rd ODI



The 3rd ODI of the 5 match ODI series between Australia and West Indies held today Feb 12th at Sydney Cricket Ground. Previously Australia won both the ODI's and leading series as 2-0. In today's match West Indies won the toss and invited the home team Australia to bat first.

Australia's Squad:
T Paine, A Voges, R Ponting, M Clarke, C White, M Hussey, J Hopes, M Johnson, N Hauritz, R Harris and D Bollinger.

West Indies Squad:
C Gayle, T Dowlin, L Simmons, N Deonarine, W Hinds, K Pollard, D Ramdin, D Smith, D Sammy, N Miller and R Rampaul.

Match Result:
The match ended up with no result due to rain.

Match Summary:
T Paine and A Voges started Australia's innings, but today West Indies bowlers came up well and restricted the home team Australia with 225 runs. Australia didn't complete the full 50 overs and lost all their wickets at 49.5 balls. At 29.3 overs rain interrupted the games for some time and was again started. For Australia M Clarke scored 46 runs, M Hussey scored 44 runs and J Hopes scored 30 runs. For West Indies R Rampaul picked up 4 wickets, D Smith 3 wickets, D Sammy 2 wickets and K Pollard 1 wicket.
With the target of 226 runs West Indies started their innings with C Gayle and T Dowlin. At 0.5 overs when West Indies were 6 for no loss rain again interrupted the game. Then the match was reduced to 24 overs with a target of 151. After bowling 1 ball again rain interrupted the game and was stopped by the umpires and announced, the match will be ending in no result.

The 4th ODI will be played at Brisbane on Valentines Day Feb 14th.
