Bangladesh vs England 3rd ODI, 5th March


The 3rd and last ODI match of the 3-match ODI series was played on 5th March at Chittagong.

Bangladesh won the toss and invited the visitors England to bat first.

England's Squad:
A Cook, C Kiewetter, K Pietersen, P Collingwood, E Morgan, L Wright, T Bresnan, M Prior, A Shahzad, G Swann and L Plunkett.

Bangladesh's Squad:
Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Aftab Ahmed, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Muhmudullah, Naeem Islam, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.

Match Result:
England won the match by 45 runs. C Kieswetter of England was named as the player of the match for his 107 runs off 123 balls with 9-4's & 3-6's.

Series Result:
England won the 3-match ODI series as 3-0. E Morgan of England was named as the player of the series.

Match Summary:
England scored 284 runs in 50 overs by losing 5 wickets. For England C Kieswetter scored 107 runs, E Morgan scored 36 runs and P Collingwood scored 36 runs. For Bangladesh Abdur Razzak picked 2 wickets and Shafiul Islam, Shakib Al Hasan & Suhrawadi Shuvo each picked 1 wicket.

With the target of 285 runs Bangladesh started their innings with Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes. But Bangladesh managed to score only 239 runs and lost 9 wickets. For Bangladesh Aftab Ahmed scored 46 runs, Mushfiqur Rahim scored 40 runs and Shakib Al Hasan scored 38 runs. For England T Bresnan picked 4 wickets, G Swann picked 2 wickets and A Shahzad & K pietersen each picked 1 wicket.
