Bangladesh vs England 2nd ODI, 2nd March



England after completing their tour against Pakistan in Dubai, they are currently in tour of Bangladesh. England will be playing 3 ODI matches and 2 Test Matches. England had already won their 1st ODI and leading the series 1-0.

The 2nd ODI between Bangladesh and England held today 2nd March at Mirpur. England won the toss and invited the home team Bangladesh to bat first.

Bangladesh's Squad:
Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Aftab Ahmed, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Naeem Islam, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.

England's Squad:
A Cook, C Kieswetter, K Pietersen, P Collingwood, E Morgan, M Prior, L Wright, T Bresnan, G Swann, J Tredwell and S Board.

Match Result:
England won the match by 2 wickets at 48.5 overs. E Morgan was named as the player of the match for his 110* runs off 104 balls with 8-4's and 2-6's.


Match Summary:
For Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes started their innings. Bangladesh batsmen played well and managed to score 260 runs in 50 overs by losing 6 wickets. For Bangladesh Mushfiqur Rahim scored 76 runs off 88 balls with 5-4's, Imrul Kayes scored 63 runs off 113 balls with 4-4's and Tamim Iqbal scored 30 runs of 25 balls with 4-4's. For England T Bresnan picked 3 wickets, G Swann picked 2 wickets and S Board 1 wicket.

With the target of 261 England started their innings with A Cook and C Kieswetter. Experienced player from England failed to do their job. With the help of E Morgan England manged to attain their target off 261 in 48.5 overs by losing 8 wickets. For England E Morgan scored 110* runs of 104 balls with 8-4's & 2-6's, A Cook scored 60 runs off 101 balls with 7-4's & 1-6 and M Prior scored 42 runs of 59 balls with 4-4's. For Bangladesh Abdur Razzak & Shakib Al Hasan each picked 3 wickets and Shafiul Islam & Mahmudullah each picked 1 wicket.

The 3rd ODI will be played on Friday 5th March at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Staduim, Chittagong.
