Bangladesh vs India 2nd Test Match, Day 3

The 2nd test match between Bangladesh and India is being played at Mirpur from Jan 24th and it will be played till Jan 28th. India is leading the 2 Test Match series as 1-0.

In the 2nd test match Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first.

Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Mohammad Ashraful, Raqibul Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Shahadat Hossain, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.

India's Squad:

G Gambhir, V Sehwag, R Dravid, S Tendulkar, M Vijay, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Z Khan, P Ojha and Yuvraj Singh.

Match Summary:

Day 1's Play:

Bangladesh started their 1st innings with Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes.But it was not Bangladesh's day. They lost all their wickets in the day 1's play and scored only 233 runs. Bangladesh lost their 1st wicket Imrul Kayes without scoring any runs at 1.1 over, then their 2nd wicket was Tamim Iqbal who too went out without scoring any runs at 2.3 overs. 3rd wicket was Junaid Siddique with 7 runs at 4.2 overs. 4th wicket was Raqibul Hasan with 4 runs at 11.6 overs. 5th wicket was Mohammad Ashraful with 39 runs at 12.4 overs. Then Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim batted well and added 55 runs in their partnership, at 31.5 overs Bangladesh lost their 6th wicket Mushfiqur Rahim with 30 runs. 7th wicket was Shakib Al Hasan with 34 runs at 35.4 overs. 8th wicket was Shahadat Hossai with 8 runs at 43.6 overs. 9th wicket was Shafiul Islam with 9 runs at 63.5 over and their lost wicket was Rubel Hosain with 4 runs at 73.5 overs. Mahmudullah remained not out with 96 runs. Then Gambhir and Sehwag started India's 1st innings and played till the end of Day 1's play. At stumps of Day 1 India were 69/0 in 12.5 overs with Gambhir 26* and Sehwag 41*.

Day 2's Play:

Indian Batsmen played well and added 390 runs to their board in the Day 2's play. For IndiaGambhir scored 68 runs, Sehwag 56 runs, Dravid 111 runs(retired hurt), Tendulkar 143 runs, M Vijay 30 run and Harbhajan Singh 13 runs. For Bangladesh Shafiul Islam picked 2 wicket, Shakib Al Hasan 2 wickets and Raqibul Hasan 1 wicket. At the stumps of Day 2  India were 459/5 in 102.5 overs with Dhoni 228.

Day 3' Play:

In Day 3's play India added 85 runs to their board by losing 8 wicket. At the end of 1st innings India were 544/8 in 133 overs. For India in Day 3 Dhoni scored 89 runs, I harma 13 runs and Ojha 1*. For Bangladesh Shafiul Islam, Ashraful & Raqibul Hasan each took 1 wicket on day 3. Trailing by 311 runs Bangladesh started their 2nd innings with Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kaye. At the stumps of Day 3 Bangladesh were 228/3 in60 overs with Shahadat Hosain 2* and Ashraful 2*. For Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal scored 151 runs, Junaid iddique 55 runs and Imrul Kayes 5 runs. For India Z Khan picked all 3 wickets.
