At the stumps of Day 3 Australia were 286/8 in 87 overs with M Hussey 73* and Siddle 10*.
At today's play the Hussey and Siddle pair batted very well and added 123 runs in their partnership. After starting today's play 300 came for Australia in 96.3 overs. Then Hussey made his ton off 195 balls which includes 14-4's. At the drinks break Australia were 333/8 in 104 overs with Hussey 105* & Siddle 21*. Then 350 came for Australia in 111.5 overs and 100 runsof partnership came between them in 214 balls.
At the lunch break Australia were 373/8 in 120 overs with Hussey 127* & Siddle 37*. After lunch Australia lost their 2 wickets by just adding 8 runs to their board, 9th wicket was Siddle with 38 runs at 124.6 overs and Aus went 380/9 and their last wicket was Bollinger who went out without scoring any runs. For Pakistan Kaneria took 5 wickets, Gul 3 wickets and Asif 2 wickets. At the end of 2nd innings Australia were 381 in 125.4 overs with Hussey 134*.
With the target of 176 runs Pakistan started their 2nd innings with Imran Farhat and Salman Butt, they lost their 1st wicket Imran Farhat with 22 runs at 6.6 overs and went 34/1. At drinks break Pakistan were 46/1 in 10 overs with Salman Butt 21* and Faisal Iqbal 3*. 50 runs came for Pakistan in 10.2 overs. Then lost their 2nd wicket Iqbal with 7 runs and Pak went 50/2. In the same over Pakistan lost their 3rd wicket Salman Butt with 21 runs at 10.6 overs and went 51/3. At the tea break Pakistan were 77/3 in 18 overs with Yousuf 19* & Umar Akmal 8*.
After tea break in the 19th over Pakistan lost another 2 wickets, 4th wiicket was Yousuf with 19 runs at 19.3 overs and 5th wicket was Misbah-ul-Haq who went out without scoring any runs at 19.5 overs and Pakistan 77/5. Then 100 came up for Pakistan in 24.4 overs and then lost their 6 wicket Kamran Akmal with 11 runs at 26.4 overs and went 103/6. At drinks break Pakistan were 107/6 in 29 overs with Umar Akmal 24* and Sami 2*.
After drinks break Pakistan lost 3 wickets by just adding 28 runs to their board. Their 7th wicket was Sami with 2 runs at 33.5 overs and Pak were 133/7, 8th wicket was Umar Akmal with 49 runs at 34.5 overs and Pak went 133/8, their 9the wicket was Kaneria with 0 runs at 37.4 overs and Pak went 135/9. At the drinks break Pakistan were 135/9 in 37.4 overs with Gul 2runs. After drinks lost their last wicketby just adding 4 runs, last wicket was Gul with 6 runs at 37.6 overs and Pakistan lost their 2nd test match y 36 runs. For Australia Hauritz took 5 wickets, Johnson 3 wickets and Bollinger 2 wickets.
Match Result:
Australia won the 2nd test match by 36 runs, Player of the match award was given to M Hussey for his 162 runs(28 & 134*).
Through this victory Australia won the 3 match test series as 2-0.
The 3rd test will be played at Hobart from Jan 14 to Jan 18. Following this 5 ODI's will be played.
