At the stumps of Day 4 Pakistan were 103/4 in 34.2 overs with K Manzoor 23* and Shoaib Malik 18*. And Australia were in need of 6 wicket to win the 3rd test to make the series a clean sweep.

Match Result:

Australia won the 3rd Tet Match by 231 runs. R Ponting was named as the Player of the match for his 298 runs ( 209 & 89).

Series Result:

Australia won the 3 Test Match series as 3-0. S Watson was named the player of the series.

Day 5 Plays Summary:

It was not the Pakistan's day, before the 1st drinks break Pakistan lost their 2 wicket by just adding 20 runs to their board. Their 5th wicket was Shoiab Malik with 19 runs at 36.1 overs and Pakistan went 104/5. 6th wicket was Sarfraz Ahmed with 5 runs at 47.1 overs and Pakistan went 123/6. 

At the drinks break Pakistan were 127/6 in 51 overs with K Manzoor 34* and Mohammad Aamer 0*. The 7th wicket partnership betwenn Khurram Manzoor and Mohammad Aamer brought 66 runs to their team. 150 came for Pakistan in 61.5 overs. At lunch break Pakistan were 168/6 in 71 overs with Khurram Manzoor 59* and Mohammad Aamer 12*. 

After lunch Pakistan were able add only 38 runs to their board and lost their remaining 4 wickets. 7th wicket was Khurram Manzoor with 77 runs at 78.5 overs, 8th wicket was Umar Gul with 0 run at 80.4 overs and the 9th wicket was Mohammad Asif who also went without scoring any runs at 81.4 overs. 

Then 200 runs came for Pakistan in 85.5 overs. At 86.2 overs Pakistan lost their last wicket Danish Kaneria with 1 runs and reached only 206 runs. Through which Australia won the match by 231 runs. For Australia Siddle & Hauritz each picked 3 wickets, Watson took 2 wickets and Bollinger & Johnson each took 1 wicket.
