2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA



The 19th FIFA World Cup officially named 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA will be held between 11th June and 11th July 2010 in South Africa. In the qualification process totally 204 national teams participated which was a record. Finally 32 teams qualified for the final tournament.

Teams qualified for the final tournament:
Australia, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Cote d'lvoire, Denmark, England, France, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Italy, Japan, Korea DPR, Korea Republic, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands,  Nigeria, Paraguay, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, United States and Uruguay.

32 teams will compete in 8 groups each holding 4 teams. Each team will play three games against their group teams, which will be held till 25th June. Then the event enters into knock out stage in which winners and runners-up from each group will enter Round of 16 which will be held from June 26th to June 29th. From Round of 16 game 8 team enters Quater-Finals which will be played on 2nd and 3rd July. Semi-Finals will be played on 6th and 7th July and the Finals will be played on 11th July and Play-off for the 3rd position will take place on 10th July.
