Venues for 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA


The 19th FIFA World Cup officially named 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA will be held between 11th June and 11th July 2010 in South Africa. 6 Nations Egypt, Libya & Tunisia, Morocco and South Africa placed bid to host 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP tournament.

In votting South Africa won the bidding process with 14 votes to host the tournament followed by Morocco 10 votes and Egypt nil.

At March 17th 2006 FIFA officially announced 10 venues to be used for the world cup tournament. The venues are Johannesburg(2 venues), Durban, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Pertoria and Rustenburg.

Durban - MOSES MABHIDA STADIUM

Cape Town - CAPE TOWN STADIUM

Pretoria - LOFTUS VERSFELD STADIUM

Port Elizabeth - NELSON MANDELA BAY STADIUM

Bloemfontein - FREE STATE STADIUM

Polokwane - PETER MOKABA STADIUM

Rustenburg - ROYAL BAFOKENG STADIUM

Nelspruit - MBOMBELA STADIUM
